Internship Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for increasing the Office for Diversity and Inclusion’s brand awareness and driving and increasing internet traffic and activity. The student will assist the division with interacting more efficiently and effectively with online audiences by:
? Utilizing internet marketing strategies;
? Leveraging social media outlets/networks to strengthen relationships with internal (i.e. departments, units and colleges) and external constituents;
? Utilizing blog content and social networking sites to raise web presence and placement; and
? Implementing other marketing activities as assigned or as suggested by intern (e.g. listserve, design event flyer, diversity education modules)
Internship Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; an understanding of Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and blogging; a solid understanding of the internet and social media marketing best practices; and an innovative approach towards the use of technology.
Skills and Software Microsoft Word Suite, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Common Spot Ability Needed. This internship is for spring semester 2014.
