The Voinovich School at Ohio University integrates scholarship, learning and practice to solve environmental and energy problems; promote value creation, smart policymaking and innovation in governments and nonprofits; build businesses, drive entrepreneurship, and help develop the region’s economy; and mould current and future strategic leaders in public and environmental affairs. The School currently is home to 11 full-time faculty, 56 professional staff and nearly 200 students (MPA, Professional MPA, MSES and HTC/Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholars.) The Voinovich School offers two degree programs –the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and the Environmental Studies program (MSES).
Internship Responsibilities
• Create, edit and archive images of Voinovich School related activities. These activities include campus visits by external stakeholders, off-site visits and regional meetings, student projects, faculty research, client facilities and environments, and others as deemed necessary.
• Images will be prepared for publications such as brochures, reports, proposals and the Voinovich School website.
• Materials will be used for communications, social networking, marketing, development efforts and potential fine art prints or posters as needed.
• Images captured will allow for documentation of the regions challenges and ongoing solutions to problems through applied learning and research conducted by professional staff, faculty and students working with the Voinovich School.
Internship Qualifications:
• Junior or Senior status
• Have your own camera equipment
• Have your own transportation
Skills and Software ability needed:
• Self starter
• Works well independently or as a member of a team
• Comfortable in an external environment (to the University) and around legislative officials and external stakeholders
• Excellent communications skills
• Familiarity with editing software
• Familiarity with preparing images for web usage
Start and end dates for Internship:
• Spring Semester: First Day of classes to last day of classes (excluding finals)
