Job Description
The Ohio University College of Business is seeking a candidate to effectively describe and promote the College of Businesss graduate programs and executive education programs. This position reports to the Graduate Programs Director and Director of Communications and creates communications collateral that effectively describes and promotes the College of Businesss graduate programs and executive education programs including graphics, brochures, fact sheets, logos, or other promotional products. Researches and develops content for publication. Other responsibilities include content development, social media monitoring, measuring, and publishing, public relations efforts and media outreach, internal communications, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Leads public relations outreach and media relations efforts around graduate programs and executive education for the College of Business to meet organizational goals by creating content development and distribution through multiple marketing channels including social media, media outreach, and other channels as directed, including graphics, brochures, fact sheets, logos, or other promotional products.
- Supports the brand by proofing, editing, and writing effective promotional copy that appeals to professional and graduate audiences, and drives appropriate responses. Proofs existing copy and collateral for grammatical errors and overall message consistency and effectiveness. Manages social media posts and outreach.
- Highlights key College events, efforts, and initiatives by researching, developing, and writing content, including feature stories, for placement in appropriate publications. Includes interviewing faculty, students, and other key stakeholders to create compelling stories that support College efforts. Translate messages using the power of words, images, sounds, and experiences.
- Project management responsibilities as assigned; works with creative resources and/or printing services to deliver on time and budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in English, Writing, Marketing, Communications or related field.
- At least one year of experience in communications and/or marketing or related experience.
- Knowledge of public relations.
- Strong writing, editing and project management skills.

- Ability to work across diverse groups and drive projects toward completion.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of higher education communications.
