College of Health Sciences and Professions seeking Web/Graphic Designer

Job Description

Supports the Communications Department in the College of Health Sciences and Professions by designing and developing marketing materials (ads, postcards, electronic monitor displays, flyers, brochures, posters); assisting with magazine design and layout; completing web content updates; and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in a design field, such as graphic design, web design or visual communications.

- Able and willing to work up to 20 hours/week

- Experience with Microsoft Office

- Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

- Understanding of web design including layout, color theory and typography

- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize projects and meet project deadlines

- Attention to detail

- Junior or Senior level student preferred

Preferred Qualifications

**Training on CommonSpot (a web design program) will be provided

$8.10/hour

Interview candidates should be prepared to bring a portfolio or at least six samples of their work. Part of the interview will consist of creating some sample documents in InDesign.
