Job Description
Support the Fire to iPhone curricular theme of the College of Arts and Sciences under supervision of theme faculty. Assist with articles for e-newsletters, website and Compass; proofreading; write stories about theme events; post web updates; and general office tasks such as copying, filing and maintaining databases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor or masters degree in a communications field or English, preferably Journalism.
- Able and willing to work up to 8 hours/week
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of internet
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize projects and meet project deadlines
- Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 2.75 or higher
**Training on CommonSpot (a web design program) may be provided
