The Office of Research Communications at Ohio University is seeking applicants for a student communications assistant this school year. The student will work with the director to create content and strategies to communicate stories and information about the research, scholarship and creative work of Ohio University students and faculty. The student will gain experience, work with a professional editor, and build a portfolio.
Qualifications:
Strong writing, reporting, info gathering skills; enthusiasm for working across multiple communication platforms; ability to work as a team to develop communication strategies and tactics; strong time management/organization skills.
Experience:
- Previous experience creating content for or using social media in professional settings.
- Photography skills.
- Students who have experience with other communication tools such as using content management systems, shooting/editing video and small design projects should indicate so in their materials.
